Our Meetings
Our club meets at the Phinney Center (which is part of the Phinney Neighborhood Association) in northwest Seattle every third Sunday, unless otherwise noted. Visitors are welcome!
Meetings generally begin at 1:30 pm for set up and informal chatting followed by a business meeting and the featured program. We wrap up by 4:30 pm.
Previous topics have included Ethnobotany, Winterizing Succulents & Cacti in the PNW and the Consequences of Field Collecting (just to name a few).

January 21st – “Winter Rainfall Plants of Western Africa,” presented by Peter Liekkio
February 18th – “Remember the Mighty Oak… Growing from Seed,” a panel discussion with Dylan Kotubey, Paul Speck, Dominic Giorgetti and Ron Bockelman
March 17th – “From Inspiration to Realization: Growing an Outdoor Cactus and Agave Garden at 530′ elevation in the Pacific Northwest,” presented by Anthony Martinez
April 20th – Field trip to view Pediocactus nigrispinus growing wild in eastern Washington, led by Ron Bockelman
May 19th – Planning for the upcoming sale
June 8th – Field Trip to Amazon Greenhouse
June 16th – “Repotting”, a hands-on demonstration led by Pan Kantiyavong of the Volunteer Park Conservatory
July 21st – CCSS’s annual picnic at the home of Lynn and Anthony Martinez in Black Diamond, WA
August 17th and 18th – CCSS’s annual fund-raiser plant sale at the Volunteer Park Conservatory in Seattle
